In summer the seven of them met in the library. Kuba was reading an old book titled "Ritual", but he kept standing up and looking around, then coming back to reading. He was waiting for Maciek, who was to have an interview with someone from the RDA. The others tried to calm him down, but they were just as stressed as he was. They also tried to calm themselves down, girls by handicrafts and boys by video games which were mostly about shooting RDA personnel.
'Would you dare to tell the RDA that we won't fly to Pandora without Maciek?' Magda asked, raising her head from her cross-stitch. There was silence for a long while, even Kuba stopped his nervous walk. Michał laid his game on the table.
'I would' he said with a bold expression.
'Me too' Kasia added. Others agreed. They were one team and they had to stay together.
Just as Magda added the last cross, they heard footsteps.
'Maciek!' they shrieked. It was Maciek indeed.
'I'm going with you!' he said triumphantly. The friends patted his back and Franek reached to his bag and took a bottle of wine.
'I know we shouldn't in the library, but we can't miss such an occasion! For Pandora!' he raised his glass. Others took the toast and drank.
'When are we flying?' Michał asked. Kuba giggled.
'Come to the lab. I must take some samples from you and make your avatars. Magda, Franek, help me...'
'This means that we are flying very soon!' Maciek shrieked with joy. 'High five!'
They went to the lab and the three biotechnology specialists took samples from each other and from the rest of Avatar Eight.
'Now we must have complete silence. Go and play "Hit Parker" in the training room, or go to the computer room and play "Call of Duty"... or whatever. Just leave' Franek ordered. Five of the team left the lab and the work for other three began.
